Classes and Styles:


Vinyasa:

The word vinyasa means “breath-synchronized-movement.” Vinyasa yoga describes any type of yoga that connects breath and movement – in other words, that links either an inhale or an exhale to each movement of a yoga practice. A vinyasa class will always be dynamic, incorporating a sequence or dance-like flow of yoga postures and movements. At the same time, it allows for a wide range of approaches. Depending upon the teacher and level, a vinyasa class can be slow paced, fast paced, move smoothly through a series of postures, or attend to details of alignment. As in life, you often do not know what is coming next but practice on the mat offers you the physical, mental and spiritual stamina and flexibility to face impermanence off the mat.


Vinyasa 1-2:

Flow-style class focusing on yoga fundamentals. For newer students and those working towards a deeper practice.


Vinyasa 2:

Intermediate flow class. Some experience with yoga recommended. Advanced postures may be introduced.
